How to Create a Hand Wound with Snazaroo Special FX Green Zombie Blood

How to Create a Hand Wound with Snazaroo Special FX Green Zombie Blood

Transforming into a decaying, cursed, or infected zombie has always been a Halloween favourite! If turning into a gruesome, scary zombie is your plan this spooky season, follow this guide to create a simple but realistic hand wound using the Snazaroo Special FX Green Zombie Blood and Wax.

Step 1

Use the Snazaroo Special FX Wax to create a raised bump on your hand. Take your pot of Snazaroo Special FX Wax and use a snazaroo spatula (or something you have at home) to scrape a chunk out. You can use your fingers or the spatula to place the wax on your hand where you’d like the wound to appear. Shape the wax using the spatula to flatten the edges and mould it into the shape you want. Try to make the wax as smooth as possible around the cut so it blends into your skin.

Step 2

Now, create a cut or laceration effect in the wax. Take the Snazaroo Spatula again and drag it across the bump you made with the Snazaroo Special FX Wax, leaving a visible line across the surface. Smooth the edges with your fingers again if needed.

Step 3

Next, grab your Snazaroo Stipple Sponge and the Snazaroo Special FX Green Zombie Blood. Pour a drop of the Green Zombie Blood onto the sponge and lightly dab it across the surface of the wax. You can add as much or as little as you like until the wound is fully covered.

Step 4

To finish, make the zombie wound extra gruesome by adding a drop of Green Zombie Blood into the cut you made with the spatula. This will leave you with a disgusting, infected-looking wound—just the look you were going for!

Step 5

Let the gooey drop of blood dry before completing the rest of your look, and you’re ready to complete your transformation!

Top Tip: If you're not planning to dress up as a zombie, you can follow these instructions and use the Snazaroo Special FX Gel Blood 50ml - Dark Red instead to create a bloody wound for another Halloween costume.
