Make cute candy bags out of crepe paper shaped like pumpkins and bats and fill them with wrapped sweets. These bags are sure to be a hit at any Halloween party or as a spooky birthday present.
Step 1
Cut some Halloween coloured crepe paper into pieces each measuring 25x25 cm.
Place your sweets in the middle of the square. Remember that the sweets must be wrapped so that it does not come into direct contact with the crepe paper.
Cut a pipe cleaner in half. You will need one and a half pipe cleaners for each pumpkin.
Step 2
Gather all the edges of the crepe paper towards the middle to form a small bag. Keep half of the pipe cleaner on top as shown in the picture.
Step 3
Twist another pipe cleaner tightly around the top of the bag from bottom to top.
Step 4
Cut off any excess crepe paper at the top so that you can finish with the pipe cleaner. Wrap the pipe cleaner stem around a pencil.
Step 5
To create the bats - roll the crepe paper around the sweets in the middle and close each end with 1/4 black pipe cleaner, twisting the ends together.
Step 6
Cut two small triangles out of white cardboard for the bat’s teeth and glue them on with a glue stick. Add self-adhesive googly eyes to both candy bags.
Cut a mouth hole under the eyes when you want the sweets to spill out!
